Computacenter, the FTSE 100 technology services provider, has raised its full-year profit guidance after a third quarter that beat its own expectations.
It now expects adjusted profit before tax for 2026 of no less than £425m.
That compares with company-compiled analyst consensus of £387.1m, within a range of £380.8m to £395.3m.
The company also reported a record committed product order backlog of £12.6bn at the end of September, up from £9.3bn at the end of June.
The backlog is the value of purchase orders placed with technology vendors against non-cancellable customer sales orders, for delivery within 12 months.
Computacenter said it had a strong start to the fourth quarter and a healthy pipeline of opportunities in North America and the UK.
Technology sourcing revenue, which covers the supply of hardware and software to customers, continued to grow strongly.
The main drivers were hyperscale and neocloud customers in North America and the UK. Hyperscalers are the giant cloud providers, while neoclouds are newer firms that rent out computing power for artificial intelligence work.
Services revenue also rose year on year.
Strong organic growth in professional services, again led by North America, more than offset a fall in managed services revenue.
North America had record levels of project completions, which helped both sourcing and professional services.
The UK delivered excellent growth in technology sourcing and solid growth in professional services.
Germany had a robust underlying performance, with strong growth in technology sourcing and stable professional services.
The company said it is continuing to take action in Germany to improve efficiency and align resources with demand.
Computacenter will hold a capital markets event in Hatfield, Hertfordshire, on 24 November for analysts and institutional investors.
It will cover the North American growth opportunity and the group's data centre capability in Europe, and include a visit to a new liquid cooling facility.
The next scheduled update is a pre-close trading update on 28 January 2027.
