SEED Innovations to be an early investor in health and beauty company fundraiser

The company is ploughing £50,000 into a convertible note being issued by London-based South West Brands

Early stage investor SEED Innovations Ltd (AIM:SEED, OTC:FFRIF) said it is contributing £50,000 to a £1mln fundraiser by an all-female health and beauty company.

London-based South West Brands has developed products that use plant-based ingredients such as CBD. It already has lines in Superdrug and on the popular ASOS website.

“The products have received a fantastic reception by consumers in what is fast becoming a burgeoning FemTech sector where South West Brands are leading the charge,” said Ed McDermott, chief executive of SEED.

SEED will be an investor in a convertible loan note paying a coupon of 8%. A total of £570,000 has so far been pledged.
