Quantum Blockchain Technologies PLC is an investment company with a strategic focus on technology related investments, including a special regard towards quantum computing, blockchain, cryptocurrencies and AI sectors.
The company has an aggressive R&D and investment programme in the dynamic world of blockchain technology, which includes cryptocurrency mining and other advanced blockchain applications.
Quantum Blockchain Technologies PLC (AIM:QBT, FRA:BYA1) announced it has raised £350,000 before expenses through a placing of 140 million new shares at 0.25p each.
The AIM-listed technology developer said the proceeds will support further research, testing and optimisation of its proprietary Bitcoin mining technologies, including its Method C AI Oracle and related software products.
Funds will also go towards preparing its recently granted US patent for ASIC Ultra Boost for commercial discussions with chip manufacturers, alongside hardware and software integration work and business development with prospective industry partners.
Chief executive and executive chairman Francesco Gardin said the additional working capital would help QBT progress its technologies towards market readiness, with the current focus on the AI Oracle and other software-based solutions while building relationships with potential commercial partners.
Quantum Blockchain Technologies PLC (AIM:QBT, FRA:BYA1) updated on its legal and legacy businesses, telling investors that a property targeted in its Sipiem court judgment recovery proceedings will go to auction on 20 October 2026, with a minimum bid of €204,450.
The property, the third asset being pursued by wholly owned subsidiary Clear Leisure 2017 Ltd, has been independently valued by a court-appointed surveyor at around €272,600. Net proceeds from a successful sale would go towards recovering the amount awarded to CL2017 under a final Venice Court of Appeal judgment.
Quantum Blockchain Technologies PLC (AIM:QBT, FRA:BYA1) said its Method C AI Oracle produced a consistent advantage over traditional Bitcoin mining in tests conducted after the software was adapted for an ASIC manufacturer’s mining rig.
The company’s researchers have completed the reconfiguration of the Oracle’s learning models for the rig’s operating system and rolling architecture. QBT said the architecture differed materially from the Bitaxe Gamma platform on which the technology was originally developed, requiring the models to be rebuilt around the ASIC rig’s distinct data characteristics rather than simply retrained.
Francesco Gardin, chief executive officer of AIM-listed small-cap Quantum Blockchain Technologies PLC (AIM:QBT), thinks he has “cracked the code” in the quest for a competitive edge in Bitcoin (BTC) mining.
But despite his esoteric background as an Italian theoretical physicist graduate, Gardin joined the company board in its previous iteration as Clear Leisure, a company which dealt in something slightly more universal - theme parks; water parks specifically.
Quantum Blockchain Technologies PLC (AIM:QBT) CEO Francesco Gardin joined Steve Darling from Proactive to announce several key advancements in the company's AI-based Bitcoin mining tool, Method C. Developed by the company's R&D team, Method C incorporates a predictive Machine Learning model and an AI Oracle. The Oracle, in real time, evaluates the likelihood of an input to the SHA-256 algorithm generating a winning Bitcoin hash.
Gardin revealed that Method C's AI Oracle has been successfully integrated into Bitcoin mining hardware, boosting performance from 30% to 50%, especially at lower mining difficulty levels. Lab tests at current mining difficulty have confirmed the Oracle’s effectiveness, challenging industry assumptions and marking a significant step towards commercialization.
The company is planning to file a patent for Method C by the end of the year. Quantum Blockchain Technologies is now focusing on two critical elements to move Method C toward a commercial version. These include maintaining the Oracle’s success as mining difficulty increases, and developing a software-only version of the AI Oracle for use by mining pools.
