Kingston Resources starts drilling targeting maiden gold resource

The Kingsley prospect will be targeted which was discovered by shallow aircore drilling in 2018 that intersected 4 metres at 76.25 g/t gold.

Kingston Resources Ltd (ASX:KSN) has recommenced drilling on schedule at its 75% owned Livingstone Gold Project in Western Australia.

The 2,500-metre reverse circulation (RC) program is targeting the Kingsley prospect, where aircore drilling in 2018 defined a near-surface zone of mineralisation over 800 metres long.

The aircore drilling produced results including 4 metres at 76.25 g/t gold from 88 metres.

The RC program will infill the Kingsley area providing data to potentially estimate a maiden JORC resource later this year.

Drilling will also test for primary mineralisation at depth below the shallower oxide zone.

Kingston Resources’ managing director Andrew Corbett said: “This initial round RC drilling at Kingsley will provide an important insight into the true depth extent of the known mineralisation at Kingsley, with the results to feed into a maiden Mineral Resource estimate later this year.

“First assay results from this drilling are expected to be reported in September.

“This program at Livingstone will run concurrently with the multi-faceted exploration program that is ongoing at our flagship 2.8Moz Misima Gold Project in Papua New Guinea.”
