Kirkland Lake Gold Inc reported more gold intersections during drilling at the South Mine Complex and an extension of the New South Central Zone there.
Recent exploration and definition drilling has extended the New South Central Zone to the 5,095 elevation, 450 feet up-dip of the 5,265 elevation.
Highlights of the latest results include drill hole 53-1199 returning 2.21 ounces per ton of gold over 12.4 feet, and drill hole 53-1206 intersecting the New South Central Zone at the -5,095 elevation and assaying 1.45 ounces per ton over a true width of 4.6 feet.
At least two new hanging wall zones have been intersected in many of the latest drill holes. These tend to be narrow high-grade zones as indicated by drill holes 53-945 which assayed 10.46 ounces per ton over a core length of 1.3 feet and hole 53-1236 which assayed 6.07 ounces per ton over a core length of 2.3 feet. Infill drilling will be required before continuity of these hanging wall zones can be ascertained, the group said.
