San Leon Energy (LON:SLE) has promoted its head of engineering to a role giving him operational responsibility across its portfolio.
Joel Price came over to San Leon when it merged with Aurelian Oil in January and his appointment as chief operating officer will see him report directly to chairman Oisin Fanning.
"Joel has worked diligently since the combination of Aurelian and San Leon to assist in the development of San Leon's licences,” adding “he will be a key member of the team that will take us into production and profitability."
San Leon recently acquired producing assets in Turkey, while last month it reported a fracking programme in Poland has far exceeded its expectations.
