Pinterest analysts cut target price after Q3 profit miss, cite rising AI risk

Wedbush analysts on Wednesday reduced their target price on Pinterest Inc (NYSE:PINS) to $34 per share from $44, while reiterating their ‘Outperform’ rating, after the company’s third quarter 2025 earnings missed expectations and its Q4 forecast disappointed.

Pinterest posted adjusted earnings per share (EPS) for the quarter of $0.38, falling short of the $0.42 analyst consensus estimate.

The company’s revenue for the period rose 17% year over to year to $1.05 billion, in line with expectations.

Pinterest also said it expects Q4 revenue of between $1.31 billion and $1.34 billion. The Wall Street forecast was for $1.34 billion.

“We are less constructive on the platform's ability to deliver upside to expectations (but) we still believe Pinterest remains on pace to achieve its intermediate-term targets outlined at the company's investor day in 2023," the analysts wrote in a note to clients.

They cautioned, however, that investors are increasingly contemplating risks from rising consumer adoption of competing agentic (AI) commerce tools.

Pinterest stock dropped more than 20% to $26.15 on Wednesday.
