Tertiary Minerals is advancing encouraging Zambia project, with new value catalysts ahead

Deep Dive - Tertiary Minerals PLC

Tertiary Minerals plc is an AIM-traded mineral exploration and development company whose strategic focus is on energy transition metals.

The company’s projects are located in stable and democratic, geologically prospective, mining-friendly jurisdictions. Tertiary’s current principal activities are the discovery and development of mineral resources in Nevada and in Zambia.

Tertiary Minerals PLC (AIM:TYM, OTC:TTIRF, FRA:TMU) said new drilling at its Mushima North project in Zambia has extended silver-copper-zinc mineralisation beyond the depth of its existing Exploration Target, with most of the seven newly reported holes ending in mineralisation.

The Phase 4 results included 82 metres grading 53 grams per tonne silver equivalent from just 7 metres downhole, alongside 67 metres at 51 g/t AgEq from 19 metres and 46 metres at 63 g/t AgEq from 8 metres.

Drilling also reinforced a higher-grade zone, including 22 metres at 105 g/t AgEq from 64 metres. Two further intervals returned 12 metres at 104 g/t AgEq and 11 metres at 110 g/t AgEq.

Managing director Richard Belcher said the results “continue to increase our confidence on the extent and continuation of grade” within the Discovery Zone. He added that holes ending in grade had pushed the known mineralisation beyond the previous Exploration Target envelope, while its full depth and possible transition from oxide into sulphide mineralisation remain untested.

Tertiary Minerals PLC (AIM:TYM, OTC:TTIRF, FRA:TMU) shares climbed on Tuesday after it announced initial certified laboratory results from its Phase 4 drilling programme at Mushima North in Zambia have confirmed broad, near-surface silver-copper-zinc mineralisation, supporting the existing exploration target as the company works towards a maiden resource estimate this year.

Among the first five holes analysed, Tertiary reported 66 metres grading 37 grams per tonne silver, 0.28% copper and 0.27% zinc from seven metres downhole, equivalent to 58 g/t silver. A further 73-metre intersection returned 45 g/t silver equivalent from nine metres, while 57 metres from 34 metres downhole graded 55 g/t silver equivalent.

Tertiary Minerals PLC (AIM:TYM, OTC:TTIRF, FRA:TMU) said final preliminary results from its Phase 4 drilling programme at Mushima North in Zambia continued to support the scale of its Discovery Zone as it moves towards a maiden mineral resource estimate this year.

At Target A1, broad copper intersections included 66 metres grading 0.30% copper from 14 metres downhole and 68 metres at 0.28% copper from 13 metres. Higher-grade sections included 7 metres at 0.52% copper and 5 metres at 0.57%.

SP Angel initiates with a buy as a shallow exploration target hints at open-pit potential at Mushima North.

The publication of a JORC exploration target at Tertiary Minerals PLC (AIM:TYM, OTC:TTIRF, FRA:TMU) Mushima North project marks the first concrete step in what could become one of the more compelling small-cap silver stories on AIM.

The numbers are not trivial.
