ACG is a company with a vision to consolidate the critical metals industry, starting with the copper sector.
Through a series of roll-up acquisitions, ACG intends to become a premier supplier of critical metals to the western OEM supply chain, with best-in-class ESG and carbon footprint characteristics.
ACG Metals Ltd (LSE:ACG, OTC:ACGAF) has produced its first copper concentrate at the Gediktepe operation in Türkiye, marking its transition into a copper producer.
The milestone was achieved on 31 August 2026.
Commissioning at the site is progressing as planned, with the operation now entering the ramp-up phase.
ACG said its focus is on increasing throughput, optimising plant performance and progressing towards full production by the end of 2026.
ACG Metals Ltd (LSE:ACG, OTC:ACGAF), the London-listed gold, silver and copper group operating the Gediktepe operation in Türkiye, beat its full-year oxide production target within the first six months of 2026.
The company produced 18,487 ounces of gold equivalent in the first half, exceeding its full-year oxide target of 17,500 ounces.
ACG Metals Ltd (LSE:ACG, OTC:ACGAF) said it has lifted commercial gold recovery at its Gediktepe mine in Türkiye to around 85%, from about 75% previously, after introducing a proprietary metallurgical process.
The company said the process, developed internally and now patented in Türkiye, has also reduced cyanide consumption by around 45% and shortened leach cycle times under commercial operating conditions.
The bigger prize at ACG Metals Ltd (LSE:ACG, OTC:ACGAF) lies beyond the first copper concentrate that landed this week, according to Stifel, the broker.
Analysts Alex Bedwany and Mavis Liu, who rate the shares buy with a 2,450p target, said the Gediktepe mine in Türkiye holds significant further upside once its Enriched Ore Project is finished, expected late this year.
That project is already baked into their base case, and they see exploration as a way to extend the life of the mine on top.
ACG Metals (LSE:ACG, OTC:ACGAF) Chairman and CEO Artem Volynets joined Steve Darling from Proactive to announce news regarding the company’s successful completion of its $290 million acquisition of the Gediktepe Mine in Turkey's Balıkesir Province. The mine, currently producing gold and silver, will shift focus to copper and zinc, with the goal of generating 20,000 to 25,000 tonnes of copper equivalent per year over its 11-year lifespan, starting in 2026. Located in Western Türkiye, the Gediktepe Mine is an operating open-pit site that will transition to primary copper and zinc production from its oxide ore base.
The acquisition not only enhances ACG's portfolio but also strengthens its strategic partnerships with Lidya and Çalık Holding. Additionally, equity commitments from ACG’s co-sponsors, Traxys, and global commodities group Glencore signal confidence in the company’s growth trajectory within the copper sector. Volynets emphasized that this acquisition marks the beginning of ACG’s expansion plans. He outlined the company's ambition to close additional deals that could boost its capacity to 200,000-300,000 tonnes annually in the next three to five years.
