  1. Tesco, Britain's biggest supermarket, raised its full-year profit guidance and lifted its buyback from £750 million to £950 million after a strong first half.
  2. The FTSE 100 opened 20 points lower as Brent crude spiked above $101 a barrel, before London found its feet and flipped into the green.
  3. VodafoneThree, the merged mobile network formed from Vodafone UK and Three UK, raised its cost savings target to £1 billion by 2032 and said operating free cash flow would more than triple over the period.
  4. Imperial Brands, the FTSE 100 tobacco group, confirmed a sixth consecutive year of net revenue growth is on track and announced a fresh £1.5 billion buyback.
  5. UBS kept its buy rating on LSEG, the London Stock Exchange Group, with an 11,700p target, but warned that AI fears hanging over its data businesses were not going away any time soon.

That's your five for today. Over and out!
