Hochschild Mining, the London-listed precious metals producer, has reported third-quarter attributable production of 74,004 gold equivalent ounces, with the group confirming it remains on course to meet its full-year guidance.
The headline figure for the nine months to 30 September 2026 stands at 225,835 gold equivalent ounces, putting the company within reach of its full-year target of 300,000 to 328,000 ounces.
The standout development was the continued recovery at Mara Rosa, the open-pit gold mine in Brazil, which has been undergoing an operational turnaround following a difficult start to its production life.
Mara Rosa produced 17,001 gold equivalent ounces in the third quarter, up from 14,610 in the second, with September alone delivering 8,019 ounces, the strongest month of the year to date.
The transition to a new mining contractor was completed during the quarter, with operations reaching planned mining capacity and access improving to higher-grade areas.
Chief executive Eduardo Landin said the turnaround was nearing completion and that the group looked forward to a robust fourth quarter.
"In Brazil, the progress achieved at Mara Rosa puts us in an ideal position to advance our next growth opportunity, Monte Do Carmo, where we are on track to present a final investment decision by the end of the year," he said.
The Inmaculada mine in Peru performed in line with expectations, while San Jose in Argentina was temporarily affected by extreme winter weather, with grades expected to recover in the fourth quarter.
Hochschild ended September with total cash and short-term investments of approximately $349 million, resulting in a net cash position of around $91 million, up from $51 million at the end of June.
