IMI, the FTSE 100 valves and actuators maker, raised its full-year adjusted earnings per share guidance to between 137p and 143p, from 136p to 142p.
The increase mainly reflects an extra contribution from Truflo Marine, whose sale is now expected to complete in the fourth quarter rather than the third, and stronger growth in its Transport division.
Third-quarter organic revenue, which strips out currency moves and deals, rose 2%, against 12% growth a year earlier.
Year to date, organic revenue is up 4%, and IMI said it is on track for a sixth consecutive year of mid-single-digit organic growth.
Divisions
Climate Control grew 13% in the quarter, helped by data centre shipments, with year-to-date data centre orders of £25 million against £9 million a year ago.
Transport rose 19% as the heavy-duty truck market recovered, and IMI now expects high-single-digit growth for the year, up from mid-single-digit.
It said its strategic review of the division is continuing.
Process Automation revenue fell 6% because of shipment timing, but orders rose 19%, excluding Truflo Marine.
Shipments to the Middle East are in line with expectations, though guidance assumes conditions allow planned deliveries by year end.
Acquisition
Roy Twite, chief executive, also highlighted the agreed purchase of iSMA CONTROLLI, a bolt-on that adds smart building controls.
IMI will announce full-year results on March 9, 2027.
