Victorian Plumbing, the online bathroom retailer, delivered record revenue of approximately £344 million in the year to 30 September, up around 11% and ahead of the £328.4 million analyst consensus.
The group outperformed a wider repair, maintenance and improvement market that fell 1.7% over the period.
Growth was driven by a 13% rise in total orders, partly offset by a 5% reduction in average order value.
Tiles and flooring was the standout category, with revenue surging 76% to approximately £31 million.
Trade revenue grew 6% to approximately £78 million.
The group also generated around £7 million from recently acquired haulage business Sovereign Transport Services and £3 million from furniture and homeware brand MFI.
Adjusted profit before tax is expected to come in at approximately £22 million, fractionally ahead of the £21.7 million consensus, comprising a £26 million profit from the core Victorian Plumbing business and a £4 million loss from MFI as the brand continues to establish itself.
Year-end cash strengthened to approximately £25 million from £17.7 million a year earlier.
Chief executive Stephnie Judge said the group had gained further market share, improved marketing efficiency and increased brand awareness despite a challenging consumer backdrop.
Preliminary results are due on 8 December.
